JOB DESCRIPTION – Office Manager (For Hire)


The Office Manager should be a disciple of Christ, committed to live out God’s love and grace through scripture. The manager should possess strong interpersonal, administrative, and organizational skills. Milton UMC and the pastor would welcome a disciple of Christ who loves to galvanize and enable others for Christ’s church. Hourly pay starts at $13 an hour.

Perform office administration duties
Maintain Church records
Assist with worship service preparation
Assist pastor and leadership with ministries
Perform Other Duties as Assigned within the scope of duties as office manager

Knowledge of computer skills and experience in Microsoft Office/Word/PowerPoint/Excel.
Experience in publishing software to create a monthly church newsletter, mailings, flyers, and weekly bulletins.
Knowledge of email and internet.
Ability to operate basic office machines including computer, photocopiers, printers, calculators, telephone system.

Work Hours:
Workday can start between 8:30AM and 9:00AM for a 4 hour workday
Workweek is Monday – Friday from Sept to May, and Monday – Thursday on Summer months (Jun-Aug)
