Friends and Members of Milton United Methodist Church,

“Selah” is a word we may not be familiar with. Found in the bible 71 times, in the Psalms, it is a word to remind us to pause, be silent and reflect. Perhaps in 2020 there have been more “Selah” moments, where we find ourselves thinking more often about the reality we are living in right now and how differently we are living our lives in this time.
I encourage you to pause and remember that through your generosity and through our connectional nature as a United Methodist Church, we have been able to be in continuous ministry both locally and globally. We bring food to those who have empty shelves, we provide medical resources that lack the capacity to offer help to the sick, and we offer opportunities for families of all ages to grow in their faith in order to become disciples of Jesus Christ.
The decision to give financially is a choice. As followers of Jesus we are encouraged to give something from what we have received. Let us give JOYFULLY and with true THANKSGIVING in 2021!
